David and Christian had never fished the Famous Ebro so what ever happened it was going to be an experience. We set off to the factory and with the “Fig Tree” being occupied we settled for the next few swims up. We only had the afternoon in front of us but we soon had the rods out. Cats rolling out in front of us was a good sign and soon it was David’s rod that was trying to get out of it’s rest!! First time Catting and David now knows how hard they pull, but it didn’t take long before he was cradling a cracking 82lb Ebro moggie.
Second day we got into the Fig Tree and early afternoon it was Chris was into a good fish. Another excellent fight and yet another 80lb plus cat.
Fishing was slow but Rudd bashing proved a winner in passing the time and with the odd small cat coming out the lads were ticking over nicely. Next David was into another good fish and another 80 great stuff. Lots more Rudd came to the tiddler rod before Chris was in, proper scrap this one, could this be the magic Ton!….no another 80lber but was the 4th and with the other smaller cats and all the tiddlers it was a great first time experience here on the fantastic Ebro.
