Terry, Stuart and Russell arrived for a short 4 day break. Last week the fishing was slow due to the fish spawning but normally we can always nick a couple.
First afternoon passed with a small cat but the following day things were better. No monsters but everybody catching best being a 46lb cat to Russell. Next day proved a little harder but Stuart managed a good cat on the carp rods again at 46lb always fun when they pick up the boilies on the carp rods.
Next day the fishing didn’t get much better but mid afternoon Terry had a screaming run again on the carp rods. Great fight again ending in a cat of 42lb. We even managed a few hours into dark down at the garden but it wasn’t to be this week the fish just weren’t playing ball.
Still it ticked a few boxes as the beer flowed and chance to chill out as it’s been said many times before there is always another day.
