First fish of the season, no wackers but it’s a start. This one 18lb which was followed quickly with another also 18lb and one that got away!!! The Ebro is still flowing hard, the local paper Diari Ebre reported that the reservoir Mequinensa – Riba Roja is now 92% full ( some 1,424 cubic hectare meters of water!) this is after 2 years of very little rain. The weather has been cold here this week. Cold north westerly blowing all that cold air down from the UK!!!! The river still in flood, there’s alot of water to make it’s way down from the mountains but next week looks good to dust the rods off and have a go up at Riba Roja.Read more

The “Barca” has been out of action for nearly a year, but after a full re-build it’s back in action. Well at the moment it’s been suspended due to the river levels. No fishing in the village at the moment as the river has burst it’s banks here in Flix.Read more
