At long last  the dam here in Flix finally closed.  Fishing has been hard with trips to Maquinenza not producing. First fish of the season, no wackers but it’s a start. This one 18lb which was followed quickly with another also 18lb and one that got away!!! The Ebro is still flowing hard, the local paper Diari Ebre reported that the reservoir Mequinensa – Riba Roja is now 92% full ( some 1,424 cubic hectare meters of water!) this is after 2 years of very little rain.
