Strange how just a few days can make a difference but that’s fishing, similar very hot conditions this week and the cats were hungry.
Right from the off the rods were bouncing, 20’s and 40’s to start on the carp rods good fun but by the end of the first 24 hours 15 fish landed to 68lb.
By the end of 48 hours they had took the tally to 25 fish many being between 50 and 80lbs great fishing and a few carp to 26lb too.
Plan was to fish 3 nights as the heat here at the moment is intense so with 24 hours to go could they keep it going? well the last evening produced some great sport with many cats all around the 70-80lb mark . By morning with the lads ready for a well earned break they had taken their tally to over 40 fish with the biggest being 84lb. A few fish were lost but total weight of over 1700lbs in just 3 nights fishing was a great effort.
