Considerations When Staying in a Resort Room
A fun weekend of catfish fishing at a river resort is something to look forward to. But this enjoyable vacation can turn into a nightmare if the resort's room is below acceptable standards. Here are some things to look for when you are staying in a riverside accommodation.
First, make sure that the lodging is tidy. Beds must be free of dust and the floor, of debris. Sheets, pillowcases, and other linens must be fresh and clean. It is also very important to check the bathroom area. The basin, floor, and the tub should be sparkling clean and sprayed with anti-bacterial spray. Also, check if the fixtures are working to save yourself from inconvenience. That means hot water faucets should produce hot water and toilets must flush properly.
Next, ensure that locks work so that when you leave for your fishing activities, the items you leave inside yourlodging remain safe. In addition, you should also check the windows to see if the latches and locking mechanisms work. Furthermore, if the windows have a single or double-sash design, go outside and try to reach in from the open pane. If you cannot reach or touch the locking mechanism, then that window is probably secure.
A final thing to consider is the distance between non-smoking and smoking rooms. Thus, if you are a non-smoker, choose a room that is not adjacent to a smoking one. If you see an ashtray or remnants of cigarettes, or if you can smell tobacco in a supposedly non-smoking area, ask the staff to transfer you to another room. With all these, travelling to a river resort to enjoy fishing and other water activities will be more than satisfactory to you.
